How it works
Date-only arithmetic is independent of the device time zone. The default excludes the start and includes the end. For equal dates, the result is 1 only when both endpoints are included.
Example
1–30 April 2027: both endpoints included gives 30 days; only one gives 29; neither gives 28.
Why does elapsed time differ from inclusive day counting?
The gap from the 1st to the 2nd is one day, but the range contains two dates when both are included. Choose endpoints to match elapsed time or a count of participating dates.
