How it works

Choose the input unit and multiply its value: 1 lakh is 100,000 and 1 crore is 10,000,000. Indian grouping separates the final 3 digits and then groups of 2. Choose English or Hindi and number or rupee wording.

Example

1.25 crore = 1,25,00,000 = 12,500,000. English: one crore twenty-five lakh. Hindi: एक करोड़ पच्चीस लाख.

Can I use decimals or negative amounts?

Yes. Use a decimal point, up to 2 decimal places before multiplying the unit, and at most 15 whole digits afterwards. Commas may follow Indian or international grouping. This converts number units and wording, not currency exchange rates.
