How it works
Vietnamese tone and vowel marks are removed, and đ/Đ become d/D. Plain-text mode keeps spacing and punctuation, with optional case conversion. Slug mode keeps lowercase a–z and 0–9, separates groups with a hyphen and trims edge hyphens.
Example
Đặng Thị Hồng — Hà Nội 2026 becomes Dang Thi Hong — Ha Noi 2026, or dang-thi-hong-ha-noi-2026 as a slug.
