How it works

Monthly interest = opening balance × annual rate ÷ 12, rounded to the currency unit (VND 1; others 0.01). The second rate is your assumption. Annuity payments are recalculated at the rate change over the remaining original term; extra payments shorten it. Equal principal uses the original principal / term. Final payment clears rounding. No daily accrual, insurance, taxes, fees or prepayment penalties.

Example

A 120,000 loan at 0% over 120 months pays 1,000 per month. Adding 1,000 principal each month pays it off in 60 installments.

Will this match my bank statement exactly?

Not necessarily. This model accrues monthly interest on the opening balance. A bank may use actual days, different rounding, insurance, fees or prepayment rules. Enter both rates yourself; the later rate is not a forecast.
